On the afternoon of April 11, the Go Cong City Labor Federation (Tien Giang Province) held a handover ceremony of 2 Trade Union Shelters to union members with difficult housing circumstances in Binh Xuan Commune.
The 2 union members receiving the Union Shelter include Ms. Pham Thi Quyen - teacher at Binh Xuan 2 Primary School and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - a caregiver at Binh Xuan Kindergarten.
Each house has an area of over 50m2 built in the style of a level 4 house, with reinforced concrete pillars, walls, corrugated iron roofs, and cement floor, with a cost of over 100 million VND per house. Of which, each house is supported by the Tien Giang Provincial Trade Union Shelter Fund with 50 million VND, the rest is contributed by family and relatives.

Speaking at the home handover ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chairman of the Labor Federation of Tien Giang Province - said that the Program of Housing of Trade Union has become one of the social activities with widespread spread, showing the spirit of solidarity, solidarity, solidarity, affirming the true "home" value of trade union organizations. The program really brings practical effects, contributing positively to the eradication of temporary houses, dilapidated and realizing the dream of settling down the work of workers.
Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Minh Hung congratulated Ms. Quyen and Ms. Thu's family on having a new house. At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor also hoped that the two women would continue to strive to improve their lives, accumulate to renovate their house to be more spacious and actively work at the unit, and continue to be attached to the Trade Union organization.
Sharing the joy of receiving the Union Shelter, Ms. Pham Thi Quyen said that her family's income is still difficult, just enough to cover daily living, so there is not enough money to build a house.
"Today, receiving the handover of the Trade Union Shelter, I am very happy to have fulfilled my dream of settling down and making a living," said Ms. Quyen.
According to statistics from the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the Tien Giang Provincial Trade Union Shelter Fund has supported 16 Trade Union Shelters for 16 union members with difficult housing circumstances, with a total amount of 800 million VND.
