On November 21, the Cai Lay District Labor Federation (Tien Giang Province) held a handover ceremony of the Trade Union Shelter to Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy Hong - a member of the Trade Union of Hiep Duc Primary School.
Ms. Hong’s Trade Union Shelter was built on an area of over 80 square meters, costing 100 million VND. Of which, the Trade Union Shelter Fund of Tien Giang province supported 50 million VND, the rest was contributed by family members.
On this occasion, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, Cai Lay District Federation of Labor and local authorities presented gifts to Ms. Hong's family.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - congratulated Ms. Hong and her family on their new house. At the same time, he also hoped that Ms. Hong and her family would continue to strive to improve their lives, save money to renovate the house, and work hard at the unit, continuing to be attached to the Trade Union organization.
According to Mr. Hung, the Trade Union Shelter Housing Program has become one of the social activities with widespread influence, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and mutual assistance, affirming the true value of the Trade Union organization as a "home". The program has brought about practical results, contributing positively to eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and realizing the dream of settling down for workers.
