Official information filter
However, the explosion of cyberspace also leads to information chaos, the appearance of recruitment news of unknown origin, causing panic for workers.
Faced with that reality, along with strengthening information on social networks, the Son La provincial government has organized the Job Fair in a direct form to create a "filter" of official information for young people. This is considered a practical solution, helping workers directly access businesses, training institutions and reputable recruitment units.
The 2026 Job Fair just held in Son La attracted more than 1,500 workers, students, and armed forces soldiers to participate. The event gathered more than 40 businesses, vocational education institutions, colleges, and universities, with a recruitment demand of over 33,000 workers. Job positions span many fields such as manufacturing, industry, services, agriculture and labor export.
Student Tong Xuan Viet - 2nd year student majoring in industrial electricity, Son La College of Technology and Technology - shared that he researched information online before coming to the event. However, many contents are not clear and need to be verified. "At the festival, I was able to exchange directly with businesses, understand more about the job and orientation suitable for the major" - Viet said.
Similarly, Mr. Lo Van Tung - Muong Khieng commune - said that he had previously encountered difficulties in accessing recruitment information with unclear addresses. At the job fair, he found a suitable job and completed his application to go to work on the weekday. Meanwhile, Vu Nhu Thuy, a 12th-grade student, was also advised to choose a suitable pedagogy major, creating a sense of security before the upcoming exam.
According to representatives of participating businesses, 14 workers have registered to work in industrial parks, and it is expected that about 30 workers will be recruited in this phase. Representatives of the Department of Home Affairs of Son La province said that more than 1,500 people have been consulted at the festival; over 200 students registered to apply for admission to schools after the 2026 graduation exam; more than 100 workers have found suitable jobs.
Towards sustainable employment
Currently, Son La province has more than 768,000 workers aged 15 and over, accounting for nearly 58% of the population. In 2025, the locality has created jobs for 22,349 workers, reaching 112% of the set plan.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee, the Job Fair not only helps businesses and training institutions directly access workers, but also creates an effective bridge between labor supply and demand. This is an important basis for selecting suitable human resources, while contributing to solving sustainable employment.
Through activities at the festival, workers, students, and pupils have the opportunity to access the reality of the labor market, understand job requirements and development prospects. From there, each person can proactively equip themselves with necessary knowledge and skills, avoiding falling into the trap of misleading information in cyberspace.
