With the message "Spring blood donation - Multiplying happiness", on January 9, at the Dong Thap Labor Union Cultural House, the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee coordinated with Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to organize the 2025 Red Spring Festival in response to the 2025 Lunar New Year Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign and the 2025 Red Spring Festival.
The program attracted about 800 cadres, union members, youth and workers to participate.
Before donating blood, cadres, union members, youths and workers were screened, had their blood tested, had their blood pressure measured and their health checked, through which each person donated 350 ml of blood or more. Through that, the program received about 500 units of blood. All of this blood was received by Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to serve emergency and treatment work.
This is a noble gesture, demonstrating the compassion and responsibility of each cadre, union member, youth, and worker towards the social community to join hands in donating blood to save lives in the early spring, contributing to overcoming the shortage of blood for emergency care and treatment of patients at medical facilities in the province before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.
