The 2024 Directorate Skilled Worker Competition with the participation of 124 outstanding candidates, representing the technical workers of 21 units in the Directorate. The competition takes place over 5 days (from October 21 to 25) with 2 parts: theory and practice.
The theoretical exam includes: Basic theory, specialized theory in 4 occupations (Turning, Milling, Cold, Welding), political awareness and occupational safety and hygiene.
The practical exam includes: Complete processing of a product or a technological step of a product according to the standards of the worker level of each registered industry and profession as prescribed by the Examination Council.
According to Major General Nguyen Viet Hung - Deputy Political Commissar of the Directorate of National Defense Industry, "practicing skills and competing for the title of best worker" has become a widespread emulation movement in many units in the Directorate, contributing significantly to maintaining and improving the quality of technical workers, improving product quality, stabilizing and developing production and business of the units.
Every year, the Directorate of Defense Industry organizes training to improve the knowledge and skills of technical staff throughout the Directorate with a flow of 800 - 1,000 people/year. In addition, the factories also organize training at the unit for 12,000 - 13,000 people/year...
The 2024 Directorate Defense Industry Skilled Worker Competition is an opportunity to assess the current status of the professional qualifications and skills of the technical workers, as a basis for developing a training plan and fostering the Directorate's technical workers. Making skill training and skill competitions a regular and widespread activity throughout the Directorate, contributing to building a team of skilled technical workers to serve the development of the defense industry.
At the same time, promote the emulation movement to study, practice and improve the professional skills of technical workers, contributing to improving the productivity and quality of products produced and manufactured by the Defense Industry.
From there, select good technical workers with scientific working style to participate in the Army's Skilled Worker Competition held in 2025, aiming for national and ASEAN regional competitions.
The 2024 Defense Industry Directorate Skilled Worker Competition is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
