On September 16, the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) held an online conference to improve the quality of the occupational safety and hygiene network (ATVSV) in conjunction with the summary of the Emulation Month 2025.
The conference connected with 8 points at the companies: Cam Pha Ward and Port, Hon Gai Coal Team, Silver Stone Ward, Lam Dong aluminum, Dak Nong aluminum, Lao Cai Copper District Branch - Khanh Hoa Minerals and Coal Corporation - Viet Bac Mining Industry Corporation.
Vice Chairman of TKV Trade Union Nguyen Trung Hieu and nearly 200 delegates are excellent chairmen, vice chairmen of trade unions and technical and vocational safety workers of the units attending the conference.
According to TKV Trade Union, in the first 8 months of the year, the Trade Unions of the units have coordinated with specialized agencies in training skills and methods of operation for the occupational safety and health network every 2 years. The total number of occupational safety and health workers trained is 6,388 people, reaching 93.4%, there have been 53,525 recommendations on safety techniques, working conditions, labor protection and have been received and resolved promptly by leaders at all levels.
The inspection, guidance on activities and regular activities at the occupational safety and health groups have been of interest to the grassroots trade unions. 2,715 occupational safety and health groups were inspected and instructed by the grassroots trade union.
In addition, the reward work is also of interest as the total number of VND3651s rewarded in 8 months is 3,511 people with an amount of over VND3.69 billion, many units also organize tours and learn from typical VND3.69.

At the same time, it has proposed a number of solutions that have been implemented such as rotating the core of occupational safety and health between departments, enhancing training and coaching of occupational safety and health according to the topic in the form of drills, thematic activities, exchanges, and learning between occupational safety and health workers in units in the same industry, replicating the model of a model occupational safety and health service team, building an electronic occupational safety and health handbook for easy research, research and supplementation of the operating regulations of the occupational safety and health network to apply to the entire Group to suit current conditions, coordinating with the professional team to strengthen inspection and assessment of occupational safety and health, motivation, timely rewards for excellent occupational safety and health...
Implementing the Road Traffic Safety Emulation Month (July 2025), units have simultaneously achieved the goals of preventing fatal work accidents, minimizing serious accidents, ensuring production and business and income for workers. At the end of the emulation month, 44 collectives were rewarded by the TKV Trade Union with a total amount of 488 million VND.
In particular, the 13th Excellent Sports and Physical Training Competition attracted 37 teams with 156 contestants from 32 units, organized in the form of a game show combined with a writing contest. As a result, the Group awarded 14 prizes to the whole team, 98 excellent prizes and 13 excellent prizes, with a total prize value of more than 1.5 billion VND.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu - Vice Chairman of TKV Trade Union praised the models and good practices of the units, and at the same time hoped that the units would continue to research and improve the quality of selecting professional, skilled, and reputable occupational safety and health vehicles, actively participate in occupational safety and health, promote the application of digital technology in management, operation and propaganda of occupational safety and health, strengthen inspection, supervision, and timely overcoming shortcomings.
