The school broadcast live the Inauguration Ceremony of Inter-level Boarding Schools and the opening ceremony of the new school year organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
At the opening ceremony, the University of Labor and Social Affairs announced the admission decisions for 2026: Announcing decisions recognizing candidates admitted to regular university, master's level and doctoral level; officially welcoming new research students, new graduate students and new students.
The school also honored 25 valedictorians of majors/training programs: Announcing decisions, awarding certificates of merit and honoring 25 valedictorians of regular university entrance exams in 2026; awarding scholarships to encourage and motivate students with outstanding achievements.
Recognizing the achievements of students in the 2025 - 2026 academic year, on this occasion, Trade Union University commended 34 students out of more than 3,000 students who achieved emulation titles; commended and rewarded students with typical and outstanding achievements; 3 Lao national students with achievements in movement activities, cultural exchanges, contributing to strengthening Vietnam - Laos friendship...
Also at the Opening Ceremony, sponsors awarded scholarships to valedictorians of regular university entrance exams, including 25 students from 25 training programs.
In his congratulatory speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Manh Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Trade Union University emphasized the honor and pride because the School has been visited by Uncle Ho many times, and from there proposed that teachers and students jointly concretize the directions of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung at the 2026 - 2027 school year opening ceremony.

Previously, the University of Labor and Social Affairs had organized enrollment for students admitted to the regular university system in the first phase, year 2026.
The first day of welcoming new students of course 2026 – 2030 takes place in a year of special significance for the University of Labor and Social Affairs - celebrating the 80th anniversary of construction and development. In that milestone, the 2026 enrollment season also recorded a notable expansion of the University. The University of Labor and Social Affairs enrolls enough quotas for 25 majors/training programs, including 24 majors and 1 international professional orientation program (IPOP).
Notably, the University officially introduced 8 new majors into the enrollment, including: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, International Business, Financial Technology, Auditing, Project Management, Economic Law and Psychology. The expansion of training majors shows a clear orientation: higher education cannot stand outside the rapid changes of the economy, technology and labor market.
Besides the traditional training majors and the school's strengths, the appearance of majors such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, Financial Technology, International Business or Project Management opens up new learning and career spaces for today's generation of students.
This not only reflects the scale of enrollment but also shows a shift in training orientation: continuing to promote traditional fields, while proactively supplementing industries associated with digital transformation, technology, modern management and new human resource needs.
