Since the beginning of the year, Vinh Long Trade Union has promoted the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions, achieving positive results with 3 commune and ward trade unions and more than 5 grassroots trade unions established at enterprises.
Through strengthening propaganda, mobilization and direct support, trade union levels focus on approaching businesses outside the state sector, creating favorable conditions for workers to join trade union organizations, contributing to expanding the network of activities.
Mr. Nguyen Nhut Huy - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Truc Giang Seafood Co., Ltd. - said that the grassroots trade union of the enterprise was established in early April 2026, meeting practical needs in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
According to Mr. Huy, the establishment of trade unions not only contributes to strengthening cohesion in businesses but also creates a stable and harmonious working environment, promoting sustainable production and business development in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee (EC) of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Labor Federation (LDF) of Vinh Long province - said that the whole province currently has 3 commune and ward trade unions; 626 grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade unions with 174,287 union members.
Out of nearly 184,000 workers, the union member force accounts for a large proportion, playing an important role in deploying emulation movements, contributing to improving the efficiency of performing professional tasks at agencies, units, and enterprises.
In the coming time, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to strengthen direct working with units, guide procedures, and remove difficulties in the process of establishing grassroots trade unions in areas such as Tan Hanh and Phuoc Hau.
At the same time, trade unions at all levels promote dossier appraisal, complete procedures, ensure the establishment of trade union organizations in accordance with regulations, promptly, create favorable conditions for businesses and workers to participate, contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization.
