At the meeting with the delegation of female full-time trade union officials attending the 14th National Women's Congress on the afternoon of June 16, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized that this Congress is an important event, not only focusing on issues related to women, families, building warm and happy families, but also needing to discuss in depth the role and contribution of women to the country's development process in the new period, towards the socio-economic development goals of the nation.

The Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested delegates to actively participate in discussion activities and contribute opinions to improve documents based on practical experiences from trade union activities.
He especially noted that delegates need to introduce the outstanding achievements of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the rights of female workers; supporting the building of happy families; organizing emulation movements among female workers, civil servants, and laborers.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, delegates need to focus on contributing opinions on issues related to the rights and interests of women and female workers in the context of strong digital transformation and career change.
Many occupations that use a large number of female workers such as textiles, garments, footwear, and electronics may be affected in the near future, while female workers in the informal sector still face many difficulties and do not have a full representative mechanism to protect their legitimate and lawful rights and interests.
The Trade Union organization and the Women's Union need to continue to study more effective coordination solutions to care for and support this group of workers. Delegates need to propose to the Congress contents to continue to improve policies and laws related to women and workers, contributing to ensuring new policies are closer to the practical needs of female workers" - Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed.
Sharing that view, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Vietnam Trade Union delegation - attending the Congress, requested delegates to focus on contributing content related to gender equality, family building, family work and children.

On behalf of the delegation of Vietnam Trade Unions attending the Congress, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong affirmed that the delegates will maximize their intelligence and responsibility, strictly comply with the regulations of the Congress, actively participate in discussions, contribute many quality opinions on issues related to female labor and improve policies for women, contributing to the overall success of the 14th National Congress of Women's Deputies.
At the meeting, Ms. Do Hong Van - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that for the Trade Union organization, each project, initiative, and practical action to care for female union members and workers is a meaningful activity towards the 14th National Congress of Women's Deputies.
