Amazon Music launches weekly AI playlist, personalized to your preferences

QUANG MINH |

Amazon Music has just launched a new playlist feature using artificial intelligence (AI), updated weekly based on listeners' preferences and mood.

According to Amazon, the playlist will be a combination of familiar songs from favorite artists, the latest hits, and exploration suggestions.

This approach is not much different from other music listening platforms that have created personalized playlists for a long time. Users can save playlists to the library or share them via text messages and social networks.

Ryan Redington - CEO of Amazon Music - said that this is "a new way to connect fans with more suitable songs" and affirmed that AI playlist will " bring a new perspective" when both honoring their favorite artists and expanding the experience with new music.

The playlist will be released every Monday, currently only available in the US. Users need to update the application to experience it.

This move extends the trend of digital music platforms exploiting AI. Spotify has also recently launched a feature that creates suggested playlists from users and virtual DJs can receive direct requests. For its part, Amazon Music has previously integrated AI into smart searches to support playlist creation.
