Amazon is quickly taking advantage of changes in the relationship between OpenAI and Microsoft to expand its artificial intelligence ecosystem.
Just a short time after OpenAI confirmed that Microsoft no longer holds the exclusive right to provide infrastructure, Amazon immediately put OpenAI's new products on the AWS cloud platform.
Specifically, Amazon Bedrock service has now integrated OpenAI's latest AI models, including Codex programming tools and a completely new solution that allows building automated AI agents.
Amazon calls this service "Bedrock Managed Agents", aiming to support businesses in developing and managing AI agents with higher control and security capabilities.
This move comes right after the two sides OpenAI and Microsoft adjusted their cooperation agreement, paving the way for other platforms such as AWS to participate in providing AI technology.
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy called this a "very interesting announcement", showing great expectations for new competitive opportunities.
Amazon said that the integration of OpenAI into Bedrock is just the beginning of a deeper relationship between the two sides. This also reflects the increasingly fierce competition trend between technology "giants" in the AI race.
Meanwhile, the relationship between Microsoft and OpenAI is said to have seen many rifts. OpenAI is looking for more partners such as AWS and Oracle to diversify its infrastructure, while Microsoft is strengthening cooperation with Anthropic and developing its own AI products.
This change could change the landscape of the AI market, as large technology companies no longer rely on a single partner but switch to multi-platform strategies to optimize competitive advantages.
