On May 23, according to information from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry issued Decision No. 2505/QD-BKHCN amending and supplementing the List of Vietnamese national domain names ".vn" to implement auctions and the Plan to organize auctions for the right to use Vietnamese national domain names ".vn" phase 2 in 2026.
The total number of domain names put up for auction in phase 2 of 2026 is 77 domain names. According to the plan, phase 2 of the auction of the right to use the Vietnamese national domain name ".vn" is expected to be held in 2 days, June 22-23, 2026, after completing the procedures for selecting property auction practice organizations according to regulations.
The continued implementation of auctioning short, beautiful ".vn" domain names is assessed to contribute to improving the efficiency of exploiting national Internet resources, while creating opportunities for businesses, organizations and individuals to own high-value domain names to serve brand building, business development and digital presence in the Internet environment.
