On January 12, Da Nang City People's Committee issued Decision 191/QD-UBND - approving the Project on Development of Science and Application, Transfer of New and Advanced Technology, Clean Technology and Energy Saving in Production Activities, to promote the circular economy in the area until 2030. The Project sets a goal to create clear changes in the application of technology and innovation, contributing to building a sustainable development model.
The focus of the project is to research, develop and transfer technology applications in production according to 10 groups of priority technologies and products. These groups include energy management and saving; material and product circulation; treatment and reuse of water and chemicals; control and reduction of emissions; life cycle management and data transparency; materials and components circulating for the processing and manufacturing industry; building materials and green packaging; recycling in textiles and garments - footwear; agricultural and industrial biology; energy saving associated with waste treatment.
The project also focuses on raising awareness, encouraging and mobilizing social resources, and promoting the central role of enterprises in circular economic transformation. Enterprises are identified as the direct subjects applying technology, improving production processes and creating sustainable added value.
The specific goal is to develop, transfer and apply priority technologies at least 200 enterprises in the fields of high-tech industry, priority industry and supporting industry. More than 100 enterprises are supported to build and apply management systems according to international standards related to energy, environment, safety and emissions. Over 50 intellectual property belonging to priority technology groups are supported for registration and exploitation. Along with that, more than 500 engineers, technicians and management staff are trained in technology management, innovation and intellectual property.
The project sets out a group of synchronous tasks and solutions, including perfecting mechanisms and policies; supporting the application and transfer of technology; developing human resources; strengthening propaganda, honoring, and rewarding; expanding international cooperation. The total estimated implementation cost is more than 20.4 billion VND, mobilized from the state budget, business resources, and legal domestic and foreign sponsorships.
