On December 15-16, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City coordinated with the DNIIT International Institute of Technology (Da Nang University) to organize the Workshop "Smart City: Creativity and Experience 2025" (ISSCEI 2025).
Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - emphasized that in recent years, the city has made efforts to implement major policies of the Central Government, considering science - technology, innovation and digital transformation as important driving forces to improve competitiveness.
"Da Nang is one of the leading localities in the country in building a smart city on all three pillars: digital government, digital economy and digital society. However, to meet the requirements of the new development stage, Da Nang needs to continue to innovate more strongly," Mr. Buu shared.
The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee affirmed that the ISSCEI 2025 Workshop is of special significance. This is an opportunity for the city to receive in-depth scientific and technological advice from international experts, while opening up opportunities to promote cooperation between research institutes, universities and enterprises in high-tech fields such as semiconductor microchips and Internet of Things (IoT).
Within the framework of the workshop, domestic and international experts presented many in-depth presentations on smart city building strategies, renewable energy solutions, urban management and environmental safety.
In addition to the main workshop, the event also has many exciting and practical activities. Notably, the final round of the Technology Initiative contest for university students in Da Nang, which displays innovative technical solutions developed by students.
In addition, experts from France also directly organize in-depth training sessions on semiconductor and IoT microchips, contributing to improving the quality of high-tech human resources for the city.
