Sharing at the working session, Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Quyen - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Department of Science and Technology said that Da Nang is one of the socio-economic centers of the region. In recent years, the city has focused on promoting science, technology, innovation and digital transformation to serve socio-economic development.
According to Ms. Quyen, Da Nang is implementing tasks and solutions in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The new mechanisms and policies issued recently create more conditions for the locality to develop high technology, digital technology and innovation fields.
Da Nang currently has a High-Tech Park, concentrated information technology parks, a system of software parks, a Center for Supporting Innovative Startups, a Research and Training Center for Microchip and Artificial Intelligence Design in Da Nang, and many research and training facilities in the area. According to Ms. Quyen, this infrastructure system contributes to attracting domestic and foreign technology businesses to invest, research and develop in the city.
According to a representative of the Department of Science and Technology, the city is focusing on developing an ecosystem in the fields of semiconductor microchips, artificial intelligence and digital technology through infrastructure investment, human resource training and attracting businesses to participate in research and development activities.
At Software Park No. 2, the units introduced the development orientation of the city's semiconductor and artificial intelligence fields. According to the plan, Da Nang aims to train 2,000 semiconductor design engineers, 3,000 semiconductor packaging and testing engineers, and 3,000 AI experts and engineers by 2030.
In the afternoon of the same day, the working delegation worked with the Da Nang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups. Here, representatives of the center introduced the Project "Da Nang - Innovative City" and exchanged with press agencies about the development situation of the innovative startup ecosystem in the area.
According to the report, Da Nang's innovative startup ecosystem currently has 3 support centers, 12 incubators, 8 co-working spaces, 6 investment funds and about 200 innovative startups. In 2026, Da Nang ranked 554th in the global startup ecosystem ranking.
The city aims to support the development of 600 projects and 500 innovative startups by 2030. Some solutions proposed include developing innovative infrastructure, supporting businesses to access resources and promoting technology fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor microchips and big data.
