On the afternoon of June 10, Mr. Le Do Tuan Khuong - Chairman of Dai Loc Commune People's Committee, Da Nang City confirmed to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters that a lightning strike hit a resident's house in the area.
According to initial information, the incident occurred in Phu Hai village, Dai Hiep commune area, former Quang Nam province, now belonging to Dai Loc commune, Da Nang city.
After the midday thunderstorm, a lightning bolt pierced the corrugated iron roof of the house, causing an internal fire. Many items and belongings were burned down, blackened; the roof was also heavily damaged.
Fortunately, at the time of the lightning strike, no one was in the house, so there were no casualties.
Local authorities are inspecting and statistically analyzing damage to have a plan to support families to overcome the consequences.
