This feature helps users save time when taking photos from the web, social networks, etc. Instead of having to re-row the photos, remember the names and then manually find them on the map, Google Maps will automatically identify the names of the places and addresses in the photos and save them to a separate list called Screenshots.
When a user takes a screenshot containing location information, Google will analyze the content and currently suggest it on Maps. From the Review interface, users can choose Serve or No luu. The selected locations can easily be moved to other collections.
If you give Access all photos permission, Google Maps will automatically scan the new photo containing location information and display it in a spiral for users to quickly review.
In addition, you can also import manual photos from the library. Users can turn on or off the automatic scanning function via the control button below the photo list.
Integrating the ability to scan for screenshots shows that Google is making efforts to apply AI to real-life situations, helping users save operations and remember better.
As the habit of saving location through photos is becoming more and more popular, this could become one of the most convenient features of Google Maps this year.
