China's logistics business activity index reached 50.6% in June, showing that this sector is continuing to expand.

China's logistics industry continued to record growth momentum in June 2026, with the business activity index slightly increasing compared to the previous month, according to data from Xinhua citing information from the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation.

The logistics business activity index reached 50.6%, up 0.3 percentage points compared to May. The level above 50% shows that this sector still maintains an expansion trend.

Out of a total of 12 sub-indices, 9 are above the demarcation threshold between growth and decline. Notably, the business volume index and the new order index both increased continuously each month.

According to the federation, logistics demand for production continues to increase steadily, especially in the electronics, mechanics, telecommunications equipment, transportation equipment and energy-saving household appliances industries.

In the consumer sector, logistics service demand remained positive in June thanks to increased holiday spending, thereby promoting the operation of wholesale businesses, retail chains and supermarket systems.

Positive signals from the logistics industry are considered one of the indicators reflecting the vitality of the economy and the stable recovery of the market in the first half of 2026.
