The 2026 MacBook Pro may have OLED and Dynamic Island screens like the iPhone

Apple is said to be preparing to launch the 2026 MacBook Pro with a powerful OLED screen, Dynamic Island and M6 chip, promising to improve the design and performance.

Apple is said to be preparing for a major overhaul with the MacBook Pro line, expected to launch in 2026.

According to a new report from Digitimes, citing data from market research firm Omdia, the next-generation MacBook Pro model could switch from the current mini-LED screen to OLED technology, while bringing many significant changes in design and performance.

If this information is correct, this will be the first time Apple has applied OLED screens to the MacBook Pro.

This technology promises to bring higher brightness, deeper contrast, more vibrant colors and optimal energy consumption. The conversion is also said to come with a record-breaking thin design, making the 2026 MacBook Pro the thinnest laptop that Apple has ever produced.

Another interesting detail is that Apple can replace the notch containing webcam with Dynamic Island, a feature that is familiar on the new generation iPhone. Dynamic Island on MacBook is expected to display utilities such as timers, notifications or quick tasks.

In terms of performance, the 2026 MacBook Pro is expected to use the M6 and M6 Pro chips developed by Apple, which are considered significantly superior to the current M3 and M4 generations.

Analyst Mark Gurman (Bloomberg) once revealed that Apple originally planned to launch a new MacBook Pro model in 2025, but the plan was postponed due to limited supply of OLED screens.

Meanwhile, Apple may still launch an M5 chip-powered MacBook model in October this year. This model will keep the old design but will be upgraded in performance thanks to the M5 processor produced on TSMC's 3nm process.

In addition to the MacBook, Apple is also said to be expanding the use of OLED screens to the iPad. Chinese display manufacturer BOE is currently working to join the supply chain by developing an eighth-generation OLED screen for iPads.

If the above speculations come true, 2026 could mark a major turning point in Apple's design and hardware strategy, taking the MacBook Pro to a new height in both visual experience and performance.
