In the context of increasingly complex recruitment, companies are looking for more effective ways to screen candidates, according to Techcrunch.
Alex, a startup company developing AI recruitment tools, has just announced a $17 million Series A round, to expand the ability to automate pre-arrangement interviews.
According to co-founder Aaron Wang, who worked at Facebook and the speculative fund, Alex's voice AI tool can conduct thousands of interviews per day, right after the candidate submits the application.
Our AI application helps candidates access some of the worlds largest companies, Wang said.
Although he did not name customers, he said they include companies on the Fortune 100 list, financial institutions, nationwide restaurant chains and Big 4 accounting firms.
Alex's goal is to help employers save time on screening work such as checking records, salary requirements and readiness.
The company also aims to provide deeper professional profile data than LinkedIn, with a vision of building a database from millions of interviews.
A 10-minute conversation could tell me more about you than my LinkedIn profile, Wang said.
Alex's Series A round of raised capital is led by Peak XV Partners, with the participation of Y Combinator, Uncorrelated Ventures and many human resources directors from Fortune 500 companies.
Previously, the company raised US $ 3 million from 1984 Ventures in the seed.
Alex is not the only unit exploiting AI in recruitment. Rivers like HeyMilo, ConverzAI and ribbon are also developing similar technology, while Mercor, a startup that labels AI data, is also expanding to AI recruitment.
Currently, Alex focuses on giving employers more time to build relationships with qualified candidates and supporting recruitment managers to make more effective decisions.
The rise of AI in interviews promises to change the way companies recruit human resources, while shaping the labor market trend in the near future.
