The feature allows parents or guardians in the Spotify Premium Family package to create a separate account for their child with a personalized playlist and song suggestions.
With this account, adults can filter sensitive content, limit artists, hide Canvas illustration videos and disable interactive features such as texting. More importantly, your managed account helps your year-end Wrapped not be overwhelmed by TikTok songs that children listen to all day, while keeping suggestion algorithms like Discover Weekly unaffected.
Unlike the Spotify Kids app, which is designed for preschoolers, management accounts still support features like Discover Weekly or Daylist, suitable for children who are starting to love music, possibly after listening to it with their parents in the car. This is considered a transition step between Spotify Kids and a full Premium account.
To create a management account, the Family package owner just needs to go to the Account Settings section in the Spotify application, select " Add members", then continue with the option " Add listeners under 13 years old". Spotify Premium Family package is currently priced at 20 USD/month.
