At the press conference introducing Da Nang Economic, Finance and Technology Week 2026 held on June 16, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, said that after the initial step in 2025, this year's event is expanded in scale with a longer-term vision: "If 2025 is the initial step to form a new forum, then 2026 marks the next development step with a broader vision". This is not only a technology demonstration place but has become a forum gathering policymakers, businesses and domestic and international investors to discuss new growth policies, testing mechanisms (sandboxes) and digital finance. However, for these orientations to become reality, the city must face two major challenges: the quality of human resources and a specific legal corridor.

Mr. Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of Da Nang City Department of Science and Technology frankly acknowledged: "After 3 years of implementation, we realize that the human resources of semiconductor microchips have not yet met the requirements of businesses and investors, and this is the central issue.
Although the city has issued many resolutions and policies to support strategic technology development, the current human resources of the semiconductor microchip industry are still a major challenge for attracting large investors. To solve this problem, Da Nang is strongly implementing a close linkage model between the State, schools and businesses. The inauguration and commissioning of the semiconductor laboratory (Lab-semiconductor) at Software Park No. 2 in September is expected to create a space for research, production and practical testing, helping to shorten the gap between training and market demand.
According to information from Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong, Deputy Chief of Office of Da Nang City People's Committee, the operating agency of VIFC Da Nang has officially operated since the beginning of 2026 at Software Park No. 2. Ms. Phuong shared: "The human resources trained in recent years all originate from the city's innovative projects on semiconductor microchips". Currently, the center has attracted international experts and high-quality human resources trained from abroad to work. In addition to linking resources with other localities, the city has prepared two clean land plots with an area of 1.98 hectares and 6.15 hectares in prime locations to attract large financial institutions to build headquarters.
Taking place from July 7-12, chaired by the Department of Finance with 5 main activities and diverse side programs, Da Nang Economic, Financial and Technology Week 2026 is expected to be a practical bridge to turn policy orientations into projects with practical value for the city's economy in the coming period.
