The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is still a few months away from launch, but there have already been leaks surrounding the charging speeds of these products.
Gizmochina has discovered a regulatory document for the Galaxy S25 (SM-S9310) and Galaxy S25 Plus (SM-S9360) on China's 3C technology certification website.
The documentation shows that the Galaxy S25 Plus has a maximum charging speed of 45W (15V/3A), while the Galaxy S25 only reaches 25W (9V/2.77A). Unsurprisingly, neither device comes with any speed improvements.
Notably, the Galaxy S25's charging speed disappoints users. Samsung's base models have stuck with 25W since the Galaxy S20 in 2020. This means that by 2025, the base flagship will still only have 25W charging speeds. Although there are many factors that affect fast charging, the Galaxy S24's 4,000mAh battery still takes more than an hour to fully charge.
In contrast, the OnePlus 12 (80W or 100W), Nothing Phone 2 (45W), and Motorola Edge 2024 (68W) all have faster charging speeds and larger batteries.
Additionally, the Galaxy S25 is expected to have a 4,000mAh battery and the same rear camera as the Galaxy S24.
