On the morning of October 19, a press conference was held in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce a series of events and a week in response to National Digital Transformation Day, organized by the Department of Information and Communications (DoIC) of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA). The activities revolve around the theme "Digital technology - New growth driver of Ho Chi Minh City" to promote the digital transformation process and enhance the city's digital economic capacity.
Mr. Ly Minh Tuan - Head of IT Division, Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City - said that the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Week event will take place from October 22 - 23 to enhance communication and promotion activities, raise awareness, and encourage participation in digital transformation of people, government and businesses.
At the same time, it creates opportunities for connection, exchange and cooperation between state management agencies and enterprises providing technology products and solutions, especially new technology products and solutions, applying artificial intelligence (AI) to solve important problems in key areas, as well as serving life and society.
Through this series of events, the Organizing Committee hopes to contribute to improving the effectiveness of digital transformation and innovative startups, promoting the comprehensive digital transformation process, and contributing to the sustainable development of the digital economy in the city.
The series of events includes: Technology exhibition activities with a scale of 50 booths, displaying achievements, models, and digital platforms from departments, branches, and localities; an area to experience digital transformation solutions and applications in many fields from typical local technology enterprises.
The workshop activities include 1 plenary session and 6 thematic workshops, exploiting the potential of solutions and applying technology in solving digital transformation problems in the fields of digital infrastructure, information safety and security, semiconductor technology, sustainable tourism, artificial intelligence (AI), digital offices, and smart cities.
Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - General Secretary of HCA - said that this year's event will continue to feature digital platforms and many digital transformation applications of the city such as digital maps, traffic jam warning applications, flood warning applications, etc. He hopes that people and businesses will attend the event to clearly see the imprints in digital transformation in Ho Chi Minh City.
