Magic V3 is Honor's first foldable smartphone introduced in Vietnam, after being launched at the IFA 2024 Exhibition in Germany in September 2024.
It is considered the world's thinnest foldable smartphone, measuring just 4.35mm when opened and 9.2mm when folded, weighing 226g.
The screen is equipped with a high-end LTPO Oled panel, 120Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits maximum brightness. The 7.92-inch main screen and 6.43-inch secondary screen easily meet the needs of entertainment, work and content creation.
In particular, the product integrates AI Defocus Eye Protection technology, helping to reduce the concern of myopia due to long-term use of the screen.
The Honor Magic V3 is equipped with a 2.84mm steel hinge, combined with an optimized lever arm mechanism with a carbon fiber back cover - commonly found in the aerospace industry, providing durable folding and opening capabilities.
In terms of performance, the Honor Magic V3 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 5,150mAh silicon-carbon battery.
The camera is also a plus point of the Hono Magic V3, with a large sensor, wide aperture and high resolution...

Compare
According to technology site Wired, Honor Magic V3 is the thinnest smartphone in the world when compared to other brands.
For example, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is 12.1mm thick when folded and 5.6mm when unfolded. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is 10.5mm thick and 5.1mm thick. Only the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 comes close to it at 9.5mm when folded and 4.6mm when unfolded.
The Honor Magic V3 is also relatively light at 226g compared to the Z Fold6's 239g and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's 257g. When folded, the Magic V3 feels sturdy, but with such a large screen, it's easy to accidentally touch apps or open menus when folded and unfolded.
With a host of AI (artificial intelligence) features, the Honor Magic V3 is a worthy competitor to other foldable smartphones from Samsung, Google, OnePlus, and Vivo. However, it's not perfect either.
Tech Radar assessed that despite having a large battery, the Magic V3's lifespan is not impressive. Moreover, the device also heats up quickly when playing games. According to Wired's experience, the device occasionally has software errors, and the ultra-wide-angle camera is not too special.
However, the biggest challenge of the Honor Magic V3 lies in its price. Tech Radar, Phone Arena and other technology sites all rate the smartphone as having a high price, up to 39.9 million VND (in Vietnam). This is one of the most expensive smartphones on the market today.
