Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, once again became the focus when he strongly rejected the fear that AI will make millions of workers lose their jobs.
At a recent internal meeting, Mr. Huang affirmed that AI is not a threat to the profession but a tool to increase productivity and opportunities.
According to Business Insider, an employee questioned how some managers have asked their subordinates to reduce their use of AI due to concerns about technology dependence.
Regarding this, Jensen Huang immediately reacted strongly and expressed his disagreement with the restriction of employees' use of AI.
The CEO of the trillion-dollar chip company continues to emphasize that all tasks that can be automated with AI should be done with AI.
He even urged software engineers to actively use AI programming tools such as Cursors instead of worrying about competition.
Lets use AI until it works. If it is not good, let's help improve it, we can completely do it," said Mr. Huang, affirming that proactively accompanying new technology will bring long-term benefits.
Nvidia is not alone in this trend. Google and Microsoft previously said that at least 30% of new source code is generated by AI.
Microsoft and Meta also plan to evaluate employees based on the level of AI use, which is a sign that AI is becoming the standard rather than the optional one.
Amazon also boosted internal transformation by requiring employees to shift from third-party AI tools to Kiro, an AI source code creation platform developed by the company itself.
However, it is the promotion of AI applications that raises the fear of job loss.
Earlier this month, Amazon announced plans to lay off 14,000 employees to restructure and cut costs in the AI era, with some reports saying the number could increase to 30,000.
Contrary to that gloomy picture, Jensen Huang affirmed that AI does not take away human jobs: You will not lose your job to AI, but you will lose your job to someone who knows how to use AI, Nvidia CEO emphasized.
