Dr. Ranga Santosh Kumar, general practitioner at Yashoda Hospital (Hyderabad, India), said that eating a bowl of pomegranate every morning is not only a healthy habit but also a simple way to boost immunity, improve skin, support digestion and protect cardiovascular health.
Pomegranate contains powerful antioxidants such as punicalagins and anthocyanins. These compounds help the body fight free radicals and oxidative stress, thereby protecting cells and improving the skin.
Sharing the same view, Dr. Rohini Patil, nutritionist and founder of Nutracy Lifestyle (India), emphasized that pomegranate juice can improve blood circulation, reduce cholesterol accumulation in the arteries and support cardiovascular health thanks to its powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
Both nutritionists agree that pomegranate can help lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol levels and prevent plaque in the arteries. These are all important factors in protecting cardiovascular health.
In addition, the rich amount of fiber in pomegranate also benefits the digestive system. The fiber in pomegranate helps regulate bowel movements, reduce constipation and support the treatment of diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and Crohn's disease.
However, Dr. Kumar notes that while a bowl of pomegranate in the morning is great, it cannot replace a balanced and rich diet.
Diversification in food is a key factor in maintaining immunity and improving long-term health, Mr. Kumar advised.
