80 years ago, on August 15, 1945, the National Conference of the Indochinese Communist Party held in Tan Trao (Tuyen Quang) issued a Resolution, establishing the "Professional Transport Committee", the predecessor of the Postal sector.
During the patriotic resistance war, nearly 10,000 officers and soldiers who assignedposts and communications heroically fell down for independence, freedom and to keep the flow of information of the Fatherland uninterrupted.
After the merger, the Post Office industry entered the stage of restoration - construction - modernization. With a system of 13,000 service points extending to communes and wards and more than 40,000 employees, Vietnam Post Corporation has both performed its political tasks well and innovated and creatively to adapt to the strong transformation of the country, affirmed the position of a National Post Office enterprise, actively contributed to the administrative reform, national digital transformation and enhanced the position of Vietnam Post Office in the international arena.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the growth rate of Vietnam Post Office reached 22%. Vietnam Post is resolutely implementing a new organizational model, new economic mechanism, new service ecosystem on a deep and comprehensive digital transformation platform. These will be four important driving forces to bring Vietnam Post Office into a new period of strong development.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Post Corporation, emphasized: The 80th anniversary is not only an occasion to show gratitude for the contributions of the previous generation, but also a moment to affirm the vision and determination for the journey ahead.

The goal by 2030 is to achieve 70-80% of operational automation, a stable growth rate of 20-30% in service segments, ensuring quality is always in the top 3 fast-moving domestic delivery enterprises, becoming a strategic partner providing the best offline interactive services for the digital economy and digital enterprises. The e-commerce platform of Vietnam Post will become the largest B2C high-quality agricultural product platform in Vietnam, the number 1 logistics infrastructure provider for agricultural products in Vietnam and ensure the best service for people's postal needs, with the closest national reach.
Along with innovating the organizational model, on the basis of an extensive network and the Commune Post Office system as a "touch point", Vietnam Post has shaped an ecosystem of connected products: post - logistics - digital finance - e-commerce - public services - technology. This is a big advantage that few businesses in the fields of post, logistics or e-commerce have.
