Chairman of Vingroup Group - Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is currently the richest billionaire in Southeast Asia with assets of 34.3 billion USD.

According to Forbes' update on August 25, 2026, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong - Chairman of Vingroup - owns assets of 34.3 billion USD, ranking 62nd in the list of the richest people in the world.

Although his assets fluctuate according to the diễn biến of the stock market, Mr. Vuong still maintains the position of the richest billionaire in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The gap of more than 13 billion USD compared to the second-ranked person continues to show the superiority in the asset scale of Vingroup Chairman in the region.

Second in the ranking is Mr. Low Tuck Kwong (Indonesia) with assets of 20.5 billion USD, ranked 132nd in the world. He built up most of his assets from Bayan Resources - one of Indonesia's largest coal mining enterprises - while expanding investment into the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Right behind is billionaire Sarath Ratanavadi (Thailand) with 17.7 billion USD, ranked 153rd in the world. He is currently the CEO of Gulf Development - a group formed after the merger between Gulf Energy Development and Intouch Holdings, operating in the fields of energy, telecommunications and digital infrastructure.

Fourth place belongs to Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont with assets of 17.6 billion USD, ranked 158th in the world. He is Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) - a multi-industry group of Thailand, operating in the fields of agriculture, food, retail and telecommunications in many Asian countries.

Closing the top 5 is billionaire Prajogo Pangestu (Indonesia) with assets of 17.2 billion USD, ranked 164th in the world. He built a business empire in the fields of petrochemicals and energy through Barito Pacific and Barito Renewables Energy. His assets have increased sharply since he first appeared in Forbes' billionaire list in 2017, when it was only about 1.8 billion USD.
