Request Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. to review the overall situation and overcome the shortcomings
On March 27, the Inspectorate of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (now the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province) publicly announced the inspection conclusion No. 03/KL-TT dated February 28, 2025 on compliance with the law in the field of environmental and water resources protection at Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. and assigned the Head of the inspection team to review and consider sanctioning administrative violations against the company for violations of environmental and water resources protection in accordance with regulations.
At the same time, Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. is required to review the company's overall (including locations that the inspection team has not discovered) and implement solutions to overcome environmental protection problems.
In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to separating rainwater and wastewater drainage lines in accordance with regulations; Renovate and repair leaks in wastewater drainage lines and water supply systems, water reuse systems, and implement transparency of pipelines, tunnels, and tanks in the company's premises; Dismantle all unused tanks, tanks, and pipelines, make clear the names and direction of water supply and wastewater; Ensure the work of recording, counting, storing, and providing data in accordance with arising issues.
Comply with the provisions of the issued Environmental License; Implement annual environmental protection reports in accordance with regulations, noting that the data stated in the environmental protection report must be consistent with actual data.
Waste data "channel" with waste documents
According to the inspection conclusion, the waste data are inconsistent between the environmental protection report and the waste document.
According to the 2023 environmental protection report, the company has conducted a data report on the synthesis of the volume of hazardous waste of 328,976 kg of 18 types of hazardous waste. However, through the inspection of statistics on hazardous waste in 2023, the total amount of hazardous waste generated is about 330,337 kg (of which 11 types of hazardous waste have different volumes compared to the data reported in environmental protection work in 2023).
In addition, the license inspection record of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) recorded the content that the company used reusable water to wash the road without the approval of the competent State agency; The amount of wastewater treated, reused and discharged by the company in 2023 showed different errors in the water used for reuse purposes, discharged into the Thao River according to reports and statistics from meters and diaries provided by the company.
The company explained after reviewing the repair problems in 2023 and 2024 related to damaged pipes and meters, leading to the difference in the above water volume data...
