The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in Dien Bien in the past time has been implemented synchronously from the province to the grassroots level, attracting the response of a large number of people, contributing to consolidating the great unity bloc and building a civilized lifestyle, promoting socio-economic development, according to Dien Bien Provincial e-Portal.
The movement is integrated with the new rural construction program, sustainable poverty reduction, administrative reform and digital transformation, creating motivation for development in the fields of economy, culture, and society. Propaganda work is innovated through newspapers, television, social networks and grassroots information systems, contributing to spreading cultural values in the community.
To date, about 78% of households have achieved the title "Cultural Family"; 68.5% of villages, hamlets, and residential groups have achieved the title of cultural; 100% of residential areas organize "National Unity Day". The system of cultural and sports facilities continues to be invested, gradually meeting community living needs, especially in remote and isolated areas and ethnic minority areas.
Many movements such as building cultural families, cultural villages, cultural agencies and units and "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho" continue to be effective. The rate of people exercising regularly in physical exercise and sports reaches over 36%, contributing to improving health and building a healthy lifestyle.
The movement also creates a foundation for developing economic models associated with traditional culture, community tourism and OCOP products, contributing to improving people's incomes. At the same time, the implementation of civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals is increasingly becoming more systematic.
Besides the achieved results, the movement still has some limitations. Some localities have implemented it unevenly, the registration of cultural titles is still formalistic; coordination between units and information and reporting regimes are not timely at times.
In the coming time, Dien Bien will continue to innovate the content and methods of deploying the movement; improve the operational efficiency of the Steering Committees at all levels; promote propaganda and replicate good models and practices to bring the movement to practical and sustainable development, contributing to building Dien Bien people who are comprehensively developed and rich in identity.
