The Ministry of Health is seeking opinions on the draft Decree detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Disease Prevention.
The draft clearly states the content of periodic health check-ups and free screenings according to the regulations of the Minister of Health.
Subjects entitled to the policy of periodic health check-ups and free screening at least once a year include:
a. Employees are regulated by law on occupational safety and health;
b. Subjects not specified in point a above.
The draft clearly states that the priority roadmap for periodic health check-ups or free screening for employees specified in point a above is to continue to be implemented in accordance with the provisions of labor law and laws on occupational safety and health.
Subjects specified in point b above are entitled to periodic health check-ups and free screenings at least once a year according to the roadmap.
From 2026, priority will be given to periodic health check-ups or free screenings at least once a year for the elderly, people with disabilities, people from poor and near-poor households, people with meritorious services, people with chronic diseases, people living in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, areas with difficult and extremely difficult socio-economic conditions, island communes, and special zones.
From 2028, conduct periodic health check-ups or free screenings at least once a year for the remaining subjects.
Based on the results of periodic health check-ups or free screenings specified in point a of this clause, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shall issue a plan to organize periodic health check-ups or free screenings at least once a year for people in the area.
Based on socio-economic conditions in each period, budget balancing capacity and local mobilization sources, the Provincial People's Council decides to expand the subjects and list of periodic health check-ups or free screening services as prescribed in points a and b of clause 2.
Regular health check-ups and free screenings are carried out according to the professional guidance of the Minister of Health.
