On the morning of May 17, Tra On Commune People's Committee organized the opening ceremony of the women's volleyball exchange for the Hong Tham Cup at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Tra On Commune Sports - Television Park, to celebrate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth.
Participating in the tournament were 5 women's volleyball teams from Hong Tham, Phuong Thanh, Xu Dua, Hoang Phuc clubs and Le Thanh Mung High School with 40 athletes participating in the round-robin format.
Each match consists of 3 rounds, in which the first two rounds compete for 21 points, and the third round competes for 15 points. The winning team in 2 rounds will win the overall victory to compete for the First, Second and Third prizes of the tournament.
The activity aims to continue to respond to the campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", while creating conditions for athletes to exchange, learn from experience, improve competition skills and strengthen solidarity.
Through the tournament, the locality continues to maintain and develop the mass sports training movement, especially women's soft volleyball; contributing to improving the spiritual and cultural life and health training for people.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second, and third prizes to teams with outstanding achievements. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented 50 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in the area, each worth more than 500 thousand VND.
