On September 11, the People's Committee of Ngai Tu commune coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province and Hanh Nguyen Club in Ho Chi Minh City to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Hanh Nguyen 07 bridge, connecting Giua hamlet and Ky Son hamlet.
Hanh Nguyen 07 Bridge is designed to be 2 meters wide and 30 meters long, with a total estimated cost of 160 million VND.
Of which, benefactors in Ho Chi Minh City supported 100 million VND; the rest was contributed by local authorities and people. The project is expected to be completed after 30 days from the date of construction.
Previously, this route had a reinforced concrete bridge built more than 10 years ago. However, up to now, the bridge has seriously degraded, the railings are damaged, the surface is peeling, and it is no longer safe for travel, especially for students.
When completed, Hanh Nguyen 07 Bridge will help 300 households in Ngai Tu commune, including many ethnic minority households, travel safely, trade conveniently, and students go to school more easily; thereby promoting socio-economic development and improving the lives of local people.
