On June 15, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order - Lam Dong Provincial Police said that the unit had just coordinated with the police of Dak Wil, Quang Truc, Tuy Duc, Thuan Hanh and Thuan An communes to organize a peak week of propaganda and mobilization for the entire population to hand over weapons, explosives, and support tools.

During the implementation period, the police force together with local Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations have promoted the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools.
At the same time, clearly analyze the risks and consequences of illegal possession and use of weapons, ammunition, and firecrackers in social life.
Along with direct propaganda, functional forces also distribute leaflets, guide people to sign commitments to comply with the law, not to produce, buy, sell, transport, store and illegally use weapons, explosives, and supporting tools.

As a result, through the peak week, people voluntarily handed over 155 homemade guns of all kinds, 10 gun components, 2,372 bullets, 11 warheads, bombs, mines, 55 rudimentary weapons and 2 cannons.
In addition, the police force also received many other support tools handed over by people.
On this occasion, the police force also presented 270 gifts to people in difficult circumstances in border communes, each worth about 500,000 VND, including essential necessities.

Mr. N.V.H (Dak Wil commune) said that during the process of working in the fields, he picked up some bullets. After being propagated and mobilized, he proactively brought them to the police agency to hand over.
Through propaganda, I understand more about the risk of unsafety if keeping weapons and ammunition. I think people should hand them over to functional agencies to avoid risks for themselves and the community," Mr. H said.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Luong Duc Dang - Deputy Head of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order - Lam Dong Provincial Police said that the goal of the program is to ensure that people firmly grasp legal regulations, raise awareness of compliance and voluntarily hand over weapons and explosives.
Through this, functional forces aim to thoroughly recover weapons floating among the people, contributing to maintaining security and order, creating a safe and stable environment to serve socio-economic development, especially in border areas.
