In mid-March, a post by a diner on social networks attracted many comments when saying that this rice paper stall increased in price after being introduced by artist Tran Thanh in the episode broadcast on September 19, 2025.
According to feedback from some diners, the "Tran Thanh-like" rice paper portion costs about 50,000-55,000 VND/box, about 40,000 VND higher than the previous price, while the amount of food is not commensurate.
Many opinions suggest that this price is high compared to the general level of snacks, especially when compared to other points of sale in the central area.
Some diners commented that the serving was not outstanding compared to the rice paper portions priced at 20,000-30,000 VND, and also reflected that the service experience was not positive.
A diner who bought goods at the end of 2025 said she felt disappointed with the experience. Ms. N.H. said she wanted to eat sticky rice paper like Tran Thanh ordered, but the restaurant sold her hard rice paper.

Conversely, a part of regular customers assess that the dish has its own flavor, diverse toppings, and the price is only slightly higher than the market. Some opinions believe that price adjustments are reasonable in the context of increased ingredients costs and increased number of customers after the restaurant became widely known.
Currently, Ms. Sau's mixed rice paper shop has an average score of 2.8/5 stars.
This rice paper stall owner has been selling since the early 2000s, with many price levels depending on the form and portion size. Specifically, in mid-2025, bags-shaped rice paper will cost about 30,000 VND, then gradually increase to 35,000-40,000 VND. After the Lunar New Year 2026, the price will continue to adjust to about 40,000 VND/bag and 45,000-50,000 VND/box, depending on the amount of toppings.

According to the shop owner's explanation, the box part has a larger quantity than the bag type, and ingredients such as dried beef, satay, fried onions... are self-processed, so the cost is higher. The name "Tran Thanh-like" rice paper is only to help customers easily visualize the portion.
This is not the first time restaurants appearing in the "Super Food City" culinary series have faced mixed opinions. Previously, some locations introduced were also criticized for prices and quality not commensurate with expectations. Typically, the porridge shop on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street (Ben Thanh ward) was assessed as having an untidy space and dish quality that was disappointing.
However, reality shows that the number of customers at many restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City such as the local chicken restaurant (Xom Chieu ward), bun mam Vui (Khanh Hoi ward)... has increased significantly after being introduced by the famous male artist, showing the clear influence from the content reviews on social networks.
