Where is fina now?
Updated location of fina at 0:30 on November 21 (local time) 355 km northeast of Darwin.
The storm reached the intensity of Level 1 (according to the Australian storm scale), wind speed 75 km/h, gusts of 100 km/h, moving slowly, in the south - southwest direction.
fina is forecast to approach Cobourg and Tiwi late on November 21 before crossing Van Diemen Bay on November 22.
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) said the storm will quickly strengthen to Category 2 as it approaches the Cobourg Peninsula and the Tiwi Islands. fina will then cross Van Diemen Bay on November 22 and is likely to become a typhoon by the afternoon of November 23 in the southern Timor Sea.
Some forecast models show that fina could reach level 3 as early as today, November 21, or tomorrow morning, depending on the speed of movement.

Darwin, the Tiwi archipelago, the Cobourg peninsula, Minjilang, Maningrida are in the storm monitoring or warning area.
From November 21-21, many places may have rain of 50-200 mm/day, the area near the storm's eye can reach 300 mm.

Ferry routes, ships, island tours, national forest tours and outdoor activities may be canceled or interrupted. The roads are at risk of flooding.
