Weather forecast from 10.11, super typhoon Fung-wong (also known as typhoon Phuong Hoang) will enter the eastern part of the East Sea.
On land, the North and North Central regions will continue to have scattered rain due to the impact of weak cold air strengthening the East shift, combined with high-altitude East wind disturbances.
It is forecasted that during the week from November 9 to 15, the North will start to welcome a slight cold front, the weather will turn cooler. From the night of November 9 to 11, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms, cold nights and mornings, and some mountainous areas will be cold.
From around November 13, a new cold air mass will flow down, causing the temperature to drop deeper, the weather will be dry, and Hanoi will have a significant reduction in the situation of wet mud.
The weather forecast for Hanoi until November 10 has changed positively when the rain has decreased significantly, and the mucus is weakening.
By November 12, Hanoi will return to clear sunshine when the sky will be light and much drier. From November 13 to 14, Hanoi's temperature will drop significantly to about 14-16 degrees Celsius.
In the North Central region, the area from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will also have scattered showers on November 09/11. From Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, there will only be rain in some places.

In the context of the return of La Niña, the cold air this winter tends to come earlier and stronger. November is forecast to have three cold air waves, of which the strongest is in the middle of the month, which is likely to affect the North and North Central regions, even spreading to the Hue - Da Nang area.
The lowest temperature in the early morning in the mountainous areas of the North and Northwest Central regions can drop to 10-12 degrees Celsius; the plains such as Hanoi are cold at 16-18 degrees Celsius.
Entering December, the cold air is more active and intensified with three distinct cold spells. From late December to early January 2026, there may be the first widespread cold spell of winter.
La Niña also increases the number of storms and tropical depressions in the East Sea. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 13 storms and the meteorological agency is currently monitoring storm No. 14 - Phuong Hoang.
Typhoon Phuong Hoang is unlikely to directly affect the weather on the mainland of Vietnam, but people and tourists still need to closely monitor developments to proactively prevent bad weather.
