According to new storm news from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (November 6), storm No. 13 Kalmaegi is still maintaining strong intensity, moving rapidly towards the central mainland of Vietnam.

As of 9:00 a.m. this morning, the center of the storm was at about 13.1 degrees North latitude - 111.8 degrees East longitude, about 290km East Southeast of Quy Nhon (Gia Lai).

The strongest wind near the storm center is level 15 (167-183km/h), gusting over level 17. It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, the storm will move mainly in a westerly direction, at a speed of about 20-25km/h.

The storm is expected to make landfall in the area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak on the night of November 6. The storm will then continue to move to the southern Laos and move east of Thailand on November 7-8 and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.

Due to the impact of the storm, from November 6 to 7, the area from Da Nang to Dak Lak will have very heavy rain with common rainfall of 200-400mm/ods, locally over 600mm/ods; the area from South Quang Tri to Hue, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong will have heavy rain with common rainfall of 150-300mm/ods, locally very heavy rain over 450mm/ods. From November 8, heavy rain in the above areas tends to decrease.

From November 7 to 8, the North of Quang Tri to Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain with common rainfall of 50-150mm/ods, locally very heavy rain over 200mm/ods. Warning of the risk of heavy rain (>200mm/3 hours).

Storm No. 13 also affected the Northern region in general and the capital Hanoi in particular. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that from now until November 7, the North will have rain in some places; from November 7, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places. By Saturday (November 8), the rain and thunderstorms are likely to spread, especially in the evening, with a day rainfall of about 60%, and an increase of 71% in the evening. Temperature increased slightly, from 24 - 28 degrees Celsius, high humidity, feeling hot when sunned.

On November 9, the weather will be cloudy with scattered rain during the day, with a chance of 74% rain. In the evening, the chance of rain will decrease to 55%. The common temperature is 23 - 26 degrees Celsius.

From November 10, the rain will gradually decrease, the sky will be cloudy. Temperature will gradually decrease, causing cold weather at night and early morning.
