The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (June 29) in regions across the country.
On June 29, the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will continue to experience hot weather, with intense hot weather in some places. The highest temperature is commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius, in some places above 37 degrees Celsius; the lowest humidity is commonly 50-55%.
On June 30, hot weather will still be maintained in the area from Nghe An to Da Nang City and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak with the highest temperature commonly 35-36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C. The lowest humidity is commonly 55-60%.
The meteorological agency predicts that from July 1, widespread heat in the Central region is likely to stop. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heat is level 1.
Due to the impact of prolonged hot weather and high temperatures combined with low air humidity, the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas increases due to increased electricity demand. At the same time, the risk of forest fires is also high. People need to limit working outdoors during hot weather to avoid water loss, exhaustion and heat shock.
For the Hanoi area, satellite image monitoring, thunderstorm positioning data and weather radar show that convective clouds are developing, causing showers and thunderstorms in some areas such as Thuan An, Tu Liem, Xuan Phuong, Phu Dien and surrounding areas.
In the next 1 to 3 hours, this cloud area will continue to cause rain, then tend to spread to other wards and communes in Hanoi. During thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
