According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, through satellite image monitoring, lightning positioning data and weather radar images, convective clouds are developing in many areas of Hanoi such as Thu Lam, Phu Dong, Dong Anh, Viet Hung, Phuc Loi and Bo De. The cloud area tends to continue to expand, increasing the possibility of thunderstorms in the near future.

It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, the above areas and neighboring areas such as Da Phuc, Soc Son, Phuc Thinh, Long Bien, Hong Ha will have showers and thunderstorms. After that, the rain area is likely to spread to many other areas of Hanoi.

Tourists visiting outdoor destinations in the Capital should proactively monitor weather developments, bring umbrellas or raincoats, and limit staying in empty areas, under large trees or near water surfaces when there are thunderstorms to ensure safety.

The meteorological agency also warned that in thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind, which may affect sightseeing, movement and vehicles.

In addition, in the next 6 hours, some localities of Quang Ninh are warned of the risk of flash floods, landslides and subsidence in the areas of Ba Che, Cao Xanh, Dong Mai, Ha Tu, Hiep Hoa, Hoang Que, Hoanh Bo, Mao Khe, Uong Bi, Vang Danh, Yen Tu, Quang La and Thong Nhat.

Tourists planning to explore Quang Ninh, especially in hilly areas, forests, streams or mountain passes, should regularly update weather forecast information, limit travel through areas at risk of landslides and flooding, and comply with local authorities' instructions to ensure safety during the journey.
