Around the evening of June 8, this cold air mass will affect the northern mountainous area of the Northern region, then affect other places in the Northeast region, some places in the Northwest region and North Central region. On land, the wind will turn northeast at level 2-3, coastal areas at level 3.
The Northeast region and Thanh Hoa will turn cool from the night of June 8th. The lowest temperature in this cold air wave in the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa is commonly from 22 - 25 degrees C, the Northern mountainous region has places below 21 degrees C. The average temperature is about 24 - 26 degrees C, the mountainous region has places below 24 degrees C.
Regarding the development of rain due to cold air, from the evening of June 8 to the night of June 9, the Northwest region, the north of Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms; North Central region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.
From the evening of June 8th to the morning of June 9th, other parts of the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
