Hanoi will organize a general rehearsal of the large-scale fireworks program to prepare for the event to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress.
According to the plan, the general rehearsal program will take place on January 21, with increased firecracker density to comprehensively check technically, ensuring absolute safety and timing accuracy.
The organizing committee said that the general rehearsal will simultaneously test the entire fireworks system, sound, lighting and fireworks effects, creating a basis for the official fireworks battlefield to be about 100 times larger. In which, the high-altitude fireworks display is expected to last about 15 minutes.
The official fireworks display program will take place for about 30 minutes, starting from 8:10 PM on January 23, 2026, closely following the overall script of the special art program to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress. This is considered the largest-scale fireworks display ever held in Hanoi.
In total, nearly 10,000 fireworks units were prepared for the event, including about 4,600 high-altitude fireworks, 950 sprinklers and more than 4,400 fireworks tubes. The number of high-altitude fireworks is nearly 7 times higher than previous annual fireworks displays in the Capital.
The artistic script of the program is consulted by experts from Global2000 International Company (Malaysia), the world's leading fireworks consulting and organizing unit, which has accompanied in 13 seasons of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF).
Regarding the location of the stadium, the fireworks system is installed on the roof and on both sides of the B stand of My Dinh Stadium. Meanwhile, the high-altitude fireworks stadium is deployed along the area from halfway Le Duc Tho street, through the clock to the vacant lot in front of the Aquatic Sports Palace, creating a large and synchronous performance space for this special event.
The special art program named "Under the glorious flag of the Party" is expected to attract about 15,000 delegates and guests to attend, and will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television and broadcast on digital platforms.
The program is built with three parts including: Singing under the Party flag; To the Party, full of faith and love and Under the glorious flag of the Party. The performances are performed by many leading Vietnamese artists and singers, combined with the application of 3D Mapping performance technology, multi-layer stage and modern LED mobile screen system with a total area of more than 3,000 m2. The artistic fireworks display will close the program.
