Within the framework of the festival, there is also a Southern Banh Xeo making contest, nightly art programs, creating a vibrant festival space for people and tourists.
The festival is chaired by Tan Thanh Ward People's Committee and Bac Lieu Ward People's Committee, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Environment and related units.
This is an event to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification and International Labor Day May 1st; and at the same time contributes to honoring traditional cuisine, promoting the image of Ca Mau and creating opportunities to connect and consume products for artisans and production facilities.
The Southern Folk Cake Festival of Ca Mau province was initiated in 2021. Through 5 times of organization, the festival has become an annual cultural rendezvous, not only promoting the beauty of the land and people but also honoring the quintessential values of Southern cuisine. This is an opportunity for artisans and production facilities to exchange and share traditional processing experiences, and at the same time seek opportunities to connect and expand consumption markets.
