Update on the three-day road ban schedule in Hanoi in January 2026

Hanoi temporarily bans roads around My Dinh Stadium on January 6, 8 and 10, 2026 to serve the departure ceremony and drills to protect the 14th Party Congress.

To ensure security, safety and traffic order, Hanoi City Police announced road bans and traffic diversion on many streets around My Dinh Stadium according to time frames.

The road ban schedule takes place on January 6, 8 and 10, 2026, in the area in front of Stand B Square - My Dinh National Stadium (Tu Liem ward, Hanoi), when the Ministry of Public Security organizes the Launching Ceremony and drills for the plan to protect the 14th National Party Congress.

Roads banned by time slot

From 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM on January 6, 8, and January 10, 2026, temporarily banning vehicles from circulating on:

Le Duc Tho street, section from Le Quang Dao to Nguyen Hoang

Le Quang Dao street, section from Le Duc Tho to Me Tri, Chau Van Liem

Vehicles allowed to circulate include: vehicles of participating forces, serving exercises; vehicles with protection badges; vehicles handling and overcoming incidents according to regulations.

Alternative channels and directions

During the road ban, vehicles from National Highway 32 to Thang Long Avenue and vice versa are diverted in the following directions:

Ho Tung Mau - Pham Hung - Thang Long Avenue.

Pham Hung - turn right Me Tri - turn left Le Quang Dao - Thang Long Avenue.

Me Tri - Chau Van Liem - Thang Long Avenue and the opposite direction.

National Highway 32 - Xuan Phuong - Provincial Road 70 - Thang Long Avenue and the opposite direction.

Ho Tung Mau - Le Duc Tho - Nguyen Hoang - Pham Hung - Me Tri - Chau Van Liem - Thang Long Avenue and the opposite direction.

Hanoi City Police requested people and vehicles to strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, and comply with the guidance of the traffic police force.

When encountering convoys of military personnel and specialized vehicles of the Police and Army forces, vehicles need to give way, go close to the right side and stop completely so that the convoy prioritizes safe movement.

People and tourists proactively arrange travel routes, coordinate with functional forces, and ensure smooth traffic during the event.

Proactively monitor information on road prohibitions and travel restrictions through Le Duc Tho, Le Quang Dao routes and the area around My Dinh stadium during restricted hours if not necessary.
