On August 18, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province has just issued an orientation for developing the Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone ( Ia Dom commune) according to the smart border gate model, applying modern technology in procedures for import-export of goods and import-export of means of transport.
This is considered an important solution to improve management efficiency and promote border economic development. At the same time, it will facilitate businesses to trade with the Cambodian market in the new period.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan requested to promote border market activities in the Border Gate Economic Zone, gradually forming a large-scale transit and goods exchange point, attracting traders from other provinces in the region.
The province directs to accelerate investment, complete the warehouse system, ensure 100% of the demand for area, capacity and standards for preserving goods for customs clearance.

This not only helps businesses save on warehouse costs but also creates a synchronous logistics service chain, improving competitiveness for local goods.
The authorities are also assigned to study the import-export market and consumer tastes in Cambodia, thereby advising on policies and orientations to attract investment, especially in the field of agricultural intermediate processing.
This is a key direction, helping Gia Lai not only expand export markets but also form a border economic buffer zone, creating added value for agricultural products.
With this orientation, Le Thanh International Border Gate Economic Zone is expected to become a modern trade center, contributing to enhancing Gia Lai's position in the logistics network.
