Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich recently had a survey tour to explore Thi Nai lagoon. This is a new tourism product in 2025 registered by Quy Nhon ward, promising to bring many experiences to tourists.
According to the leader of Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee, the Thi Nai lagoon discovery tour takes visitors to visit prominent landmarks such as Hai Minh fishing village, Tran Hung Dao monument, Thay Boi tower and Con Chim. These are community tourism destinations, harmoniously combining culture - history and unique natural landscapes.
To serve the development of new tourism products, Quy Nhon ward is mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure such as: building a natural embankment to prevent landslides, beautifying the Hai Minh fishing village area, renovating the landscape around the statue of Duc Thanh Tran, re-planning Thay Boi Tower to ensure a clean and friendly space for tourists.
Through the survey, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich highly appreciated the efforts of the locality and travel businesses in implementing tours to explore Thi Nai lagoon, in order to attract tourists to the province.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich suggested that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province focus on surveying tourism resources and developing a methodical tourism development strategy for the province.
To promote the advantage of "The quintessence of the great thousand - the blue sea convergence", Gia Lai will focus on building tourism products suitable to the natural characteristics of the Eastern and Western regions, so that each month is the "tourism season" of the province.
At the same time, clearly identify tourist market segments to build appropriate promotional strategies, diversify products and services according to the needs of each group of tourists, thereby creating revenue for people and localities and ensuring sustainable development of the tourism industry.
The Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in order to build unique and attractive tourism products, it is necessary to have investment, research and proper operation, along with the cooperation of the government, businesses, management units and the community. This is the foundation for developing unique and sustainable tourism products.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, in the first 6 months of 2025, the old Binh Dinh province welcomed about 6.5 million visitors, an increase of 14.3% over the same period in 2024; total tourism revenue reached VND 16,850 billion, an increase of 14.5%. In the old Gia Lai, the number of visitors reached 890,000, an increase of 16%, revenue was about 493 billion VND, an increase of 11% over the same period last year.
In the last 6 months of the year, Gia Lai aims to attract about 4.4 million visitors, with an expected revenue of VND 11,160 billion, and at the same time develop many new tourism products to maintain growth momentum.
