In the context of digital media increasingly strongly dominating tourists' information access, videos/clip have become an effective means of promotion. Clearly identifying this trend, the 2025 "Vietnam Tourism Impressions" Contest is organized with the goal of arousing creativity in society, while building a rich documentary warehouse about the country, people and tourism of Vietnam in the digital environment.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong placed the contest in the context of recovery and strong growth of the tourism industry. He said that on December 15, Vietnam welcomed the 20 millionth international visitor in 2025.

If Vietnam welcomed 10 million international visitors in 2016, less than 10 years later, this number will double, in the context of the world and Vietnam having to go through the COVID 19 pandemic with many difficulties and challenges, the Deputy Minister emphasized.

According to Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, along with growth in quantity, tourism quality has also been significantly improved. In that general picture, the Video/Clip Creative Contest "Vietnam Tourism Impressions" is considered a vivid testament to the new, creative and effective way of promoting and advertising tourism.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan, Director of the Center for Digital Transformation of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest, said that the scale and influence of the Contest have far exceeded initial expectations.

What touched us was the participation of many ordinary people, those who love tourism and their homeland. They are not professional filmmakers, but the footage sent back is very realistic, vivid and full of emotions, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan shared.

Meanwhile, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association, highly appreciated the role of creative playgrounds in promoting the image of the country through emotional artistic language, contributing to creating a sustainable flow for tourism media.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Van - General Director of Hanoi Tourism Corporation, member of the Jury of the Final Round of the Contest, shared: "This is a very high-quality Contest, organized very elaborately and received great attention from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as the Vietnamese travel community, especially young people".

The Organizing Committee has awarded 24 official prizes along with many secondary prizes, with a total value of more than 600 million VND, divided into two categories: short video and long video. The first prize in the short video category went to the work Vietnam - Impressive Destination by author Hieu Nhi Travel, while the first prize in the long video category was awarded to the work Ru Cha vao Thu by author Le Tan Thanh.

In addition, many other works were also honored in the thematic and voting categories.

The numbers reflect the significant attraction of the contest, and at the same time show the need to participate in telling the story of Vietnam through images that is spreading widely, from people, tourism workers, content creators to international tourists.

The entries this year are impressive because of their diversity in topics and approaches. The audience is led through majestic natural scenery, long-standing cultural heritages, interwoven with the rustic daily life, from highland markets, village festivals, family meals to life-long moments of the local people.

From there, the image of Vietnam appears in many dimensions, rich in emotions, beyond familiar models to expand into a vibrant cultural - tourism space.
