The program "Husband and Wife Harmony" recounted the marriage journey of Mr. Tran Dai - Ms. Mai Thi Cam Van, starting from a seemingly simple relationship. Sharing with MC Dinh Toan, Ms. Cam Van said that the opportunity to meet Mr. Dai came from the matchmaking of a friend who is also Mr. Dai's uncle.
At first, she did not know that it was an "eyed look" session, even humorously saying that she was not a "hammer" for those who wanted to introduce to introduce. However, after many meetings and conversations, the two gradually developed feelings for each other and quietly got to know each other.
Mr. Tran Dai recalled that before the first meeting, he had seen Ms. Van's photos and had a good impression, so he agreed to meet her. His perseverance as Ms. Van wittyly said "handsome without a bottle" gradually conquered her heart. After a period of pursuit, the two officially became a couple, even hiding their matchmaker until the wedding day.
After three years of together, the couple got married in a couple with many economic shortcomings. Ms. Van shared that after six years of hard work in the city, her accumulated assets are only over 10 million VND. This money was used to buy wedding jewelry, the rest was only 2 million VND to buy a ticket for my mother to attend the wedding.
As for Mr. Dai, he only saved about 20 million VND, while still having to worry about wedding and living expenses. At that time, he worked as an electrical engineer and often had to work part-time to make ends meet.
The real difficulties began when the couple moved in together. With almost all their money running out, both had to rely on both families and borrow from neighbors to get capital to do business. When the money was not enough, Ms. Cam Van decided to sell all her wedding jewelry, only kept the two rings as souvenirs, left them at an older sister's shop and started a business.
Thanks to their consensus and continuous efforts, in the first month, the couple paid off all the debt to Mr. Dai's family; in the second month, they continued to pay off the debt to Ms. Van's family and started to have more.
Recalling the difficult start-up period, Ms. Van said it was a very difficult time when the couple had to do everything themselves, without anyone to help them. Luckily, Dai's younger brother went to the city to study at university and supported his work, helping his business gradually stabilize.
When asked by psychologist Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Dao about regretting coming together in difficult circumstances, Ms. Van affirmed that she had never regretted it.
Mr. Dai also shared that the only thing he regrets is that he thought about being the boss too early when he was left empty-handed, and never regretted choosing Ms. Van as his partner. In particular, during that difficult time, the couple had never raised their voices.
After 19 years of living together, Ms. Van said that she and her husband had very few conflicts. Mr. Dai rarely makes a fuss, the two always choose to give in because they have gone through so many hardships together. At present, Mr. Dai hopes to be healthy enough to continue working and taking care of his family; while Ms. Van just hopes that her family will be safe, healthy and have a good future for her two children.
