Appearing in a talk show with model Minh Tu, the male singer had open confessions about love, marriage and life views with his partner.
In the conversation, Hoang Dung revealed about the assignment of daily life work in the family. The male singer said that he takes on the role of cooking and washing dishes, while all other housework is taken care of by his wife.
Hoang Dung shared that he loves the feeling of being cared for by others. Cooking dishes with his own hands and receiving praise from everyone around him is a positive source of energy for him in daily life.
Recalling the time before living together, the male singer said that the economic conditions of both at that time were still limited. Instead of expensive gifts, he used a 500 VND banknote folded up to make a proposal object. For Hoang Dung, the proposal ritual has a sacred meaning and needs to originate from sincerity. That sincerity helped him receive the consent from his partner to move towards marriage.
Hoang Dung got married at the age of 25, while his wife is 1 year older than him. After a period of marriage, the male singer decided to announce this good news to the public.
Speaking about the reason for publicizing his marital status, Hoang Dung said that it is very disadvantageous for a woman to marry but not be recognized or widely announced. He shared that even from a man's perspective, he also feels sad if he falls into that situation.
For him, publicizing his marital status and giving the woman an official title is extremely important. Therefore, he wants to share the joy of family as a respect for the other person and send it to the audience who follow him.
Respecting the partner's decision to have children
When discussing family development and childbirth plans, the male singer shared that he is ready to be a father. However, he emphasized that childbirth largely depends on the health and psychology of the woman, so he does not put pressure or force his wife. The male singer chose to patiently wait and only move on to the next step when his wife feels completely ready.
It is known that singer Hoang Dung married his wife Khanh Linh in 2020. The two held a very simple and cozy wedding when they were young and not yet financially well-off, even having to borrow tables and chairs from neighbors. Khanh Linh is currently also the manager who accompanies him on the artistic path.
According to Hoang Dung, his wife used to collect songs he composed but forgot or were not too enthusiastic, then urged him to edit and release them, notably the hit "Nang Tho" (The Muse).
Khanh Linh also contributed to helping her husband complete albums 25, Xoay tròn, E.P Yen or encouraged him to perform a series of concerts in the 2024 - 2025 period. In 2022, when the male singer faced great pressure during the performance of the Yen concert in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Khanh Linh was always by his side to encourage and support him from the idea stage, practice to the general rehearsal.
Hoang Dung officially entered the music scene after winning the runner-up of The Voice of Vietnam 2015.
